"I started
playing rugby at Xavier High School in New York City. I continued playing while attending Amherst College in Massachusetts. This is where I landed on my head during a
tackle. I was startled by the pain in my
head, but in a moment I was up and running.
For a few years I walked around cracking and stretching my own neck
daily. Finally, I decided to visit a
local chiropractor in Brooklyn."
"The
chiropractor asked me a few questions about my injury and then had me lay down
on his chiropractic table. He stretched
my whole back lightly and then he held down my left shoulder while stretching my
head towards my right shoulder. In an instant, I felt multiple pops in my neck
as the chiropractor adjusted my neck. I kept
improving over the next few months. I
was so impressed that I went to chiropractic school myself."
Fernando
attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. During his four years at Palmer, his courses
included biochemistry, with a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray,
diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the school’s
public clinic. After graduating in 2004,
Fernando practiced in Granada, Spain for two years.
"I am fortunate to be a chiropractor in Brooklyn. I help a diverse community deal with the blessings and stresses of living in New York City."
"We all share the same
basic anatomy and biomechanics. A chiropractor specializes in
feeling motion at the joints (articulations), and then adjusting the
relationship between body parts to achieve improved alignment and better
balance. Regularly scheduled
chiropractic care can be the keystone to your natural healthcare
regiment. You will discover overall
better physical performance and decreased healthcare costs with no harmful side effects."
